It has a specialized management team and state-of-the-art tools, allowing it to maximize artists&#8217; earnings worldwide.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Who are considered performers and executants?&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>Performers<\/b> are those who, in a significant way, represent, sing, read, recite, or interpret, in any form, a literary or artistic work, a phonogram, an audiovisual recording, a folkloric expression, or any other act subject to rights. Soloists and orchestra conductors are included in this group.<\/p>\n<p><b>Executants<\/b> are those who accompany one or more performers by representing, singing, reading, reciting, declaiming, or performing a literary or artistic work, a phonogram, an audiovisual recording, a folkloric expression, or any other act subject to rights. Members of orchestras or choirs fall into this category.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Can I join AIE if I already belong to an authors&#8217; management society?&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>Absolutely.<\/b> The rights managed by AIE are entirely independent, compatible, and cumulative with copyrights (DAMA, SGAE, BMI, ASCAP\u2026) and are additional to any royalties an artist may receive under a record label agreement.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;What rights does AIE collect in Spain?&#8221;][vc_column_text]AIE collects the following rights for its members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Public Communication:<\/b> Derived from the broadcasting or transmission of a work or song through radios, televisions, and other music users. This right is widely recognized internationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Public Performance:<\/b> A subset of Public Communication, covering the broadcasting of fixed performances in public venues like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, transportation, gyms, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Private Copy:<\/b> Compensation for artists for the revenue and rights they lose due to copies made in private environments. In this case, manufacturers and importers of devices (smartphones, tablets, computers, etc.) where such copies can be made are responsible for payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Making Available:<\/b> A form of Public Communication where listeners can choose what to listen to or watch, from any device, at their chosen time. Examples include on-demand streaming platforms for audio and video.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Does AIE collect rights globally?&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>Yes, in addition to collecting for the use of your music in Spain, AIE has 109 reciprocity agreements<\/b> with 81 similar organizations in 58 countries, exchanging rights generated by the use of your music internationally.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Does AIE collect for live performances?&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>No, AIE does not collect for concerts or shows<\/b> because the law requires songs to be fixed on a medium (audio or video), like a CD or a television program. The process is simple and can be done through the Virtual Office: <a href=\"https:\/\/oficinavirtual.aie.es\/Login\">https:\/\/oficinavirtual.aie.es\/Login<\/a>. AIE also proactively works to identify unreported repertoire through other means.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;When will I receive my first payment?&#8221;][vc_column_text]<b>Like most management societies, AIE distributes rights with an approximate nine-month delay.<\/b> This means the music currently generating rights will be paid out the following year.<\/p>\n<p><b>Distributions occur quarterly<\/b>, starting in January. Access it here: <a href=\"https:\/\/oficinavirtual.aie.es\/Login\">https:\/\/oficinavirtual.aie.es\/Login<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Why haven&#8217;t I received any payment from AIE?&#8221;][vc_column_text]If you have not received payment after the last distribution, it may be due to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Your song is not in our usage data or has not been played enough to generate rights.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>We have not yet collected the generated rights<\/b> from radios, televisions, bars, clubs, or streaming platforms.<\/li>\n<li><b>Your songs haven\u2019t reached the minimum amount for distribution.<\/b> AIE requires a minimum of \u20ac30 per right managed to process payments.
