New CURSOAIE for members: The Artist’s VAT: invoicing and tax rates
The lawyer and tax advisor Javier Andrade will be in charge of delivering the course.
The AIE Artists’ Society presents a new free CURSOAIE for its members. Under the title “The artist’s VAT: invoicing and tax rates“, it will be delivered by lawyer and tax advisor Javier Andrade and held online on Wednesday, May 7, from 12:00 to 13:00.
Understanding tax regulations is one of the key aspects related to the artistic profession. At AIE, we are aware of how complex this topic can be, which is why we have created this CURSOAIE to provide our members with essential knowledge on fiscal obligations and the most effective and efficient ways to comply with them.
The day’s program includes:
- VAT: A brief introduction
- Artistic services not subject to VAT, exempt from VAT, and subject to VAT
- Invoicing and applicable tax rates
- VAT and its application to the rights collected and distributed by AIE (paid to artists residing in Spain and paid to artists residing outside of Spain)
Javier Andrade is a lawyer and tax advisor specializing in Tax Law and Intellectual Property. His professional career has been closely linked to the creative and artistic sectors, as well as to intellectual property rights management entities. He has also been involved in teaching activities for Master’s programs and seminars. Since 2017, he has been actively involved in the process that led to the parliamentary approval of the Artist’s Statute Report and the implementation of the proposed fiscal, labor, and social security measures.
