Legal measures in the digital environment, remuneration rights, and new models of music consumption were the focus of the two roundtables held during the event.
The Society of Artists AIE awarded for the first time the AIE Music Excellence Prize at LIPA, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, founded by Sir Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty in Liverpool, Paul McCartney’s hometown. This prize is given to a graduating student who stands out for their exceptional talent and commitment to music. This significant recognition was presented by Luis Cobos, president of AIE, during the 2024 LIPA Graduation Ceremony.
Alberto Iglesias has won the award for Best Original Music for the score of "La habitación de al lado", directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
The residency will conclude with five concerts — one in Liverpool and four in various Spanish cities.
Organized by PAM (Associated Music Journalists) and sponsored by AIE, this event is set to become a key space for dialogue and collective development.
